Frequently asked questions
A little clarity before the first conversation.
What Fielded does, how to begin, and what to expect from the private beta and the separate demo.
01What is Fielded AI?
Fielded AI is the living dialogue layer within a company: a heartbeat of conversations that helps organisations find answers to their most complex business questions. Acting as a Digital Forward Deployed Engineer (DFDE), Fielded talks with employees through voice and text, asks targeted follow-up questions and connects their knowledge with company documents. It identifies bottlenecks, tests possible explanations and brings back evidence to help you decide what to change.
02Is Fielded another employee survey?
No. Fielded centres on dialogue: a focused question, an employee perspective and the ability to ask a useful follow-up. Missions gather intelligence; communications explain known information and check understanding.
03Does Fielded jump straight to a root cause?
It should not. A hypothesis is something to test. Fielded connects approved perspectives and proposes further investigation where evidence is missing or conflicting. Cross-team follow-ups follow your organisation’s approval rules.
04Can employees start the conversation?
Yes. Employees can talk privately with Fielded and suggest a mission upwards. A department head or authorised reviewer can clarify, approve or escalate the suggestion. The employee can receive a concise response without receiving restricted management information.
05How do we get started?
Create a company workspace in the private beta, add company context, and invite your people using the available invitation links. Start with one focused mission or policy communication. You can also explore the separate interactive demo first.
06Is everything in the demo available in the beta?
The demo illustrates the wider Fielded vision, including individual, team and advisory use cases. The working beta focuses on company workspaces. Email delivery, provider connections and broader autonomous background check-ins should be confirmed for your setup; they are not assumed to be active.
07What inputs and uploads can I use?
The conversation model includes text, voice notes, files, presentations and photos. Company context can include policies, processes and other reference material. Check which input options, file formats and limits are enabled in your workspace. Uploading material does not make it an approved source or automatically share it with everyone; the relevant review and access rules still apply.
08Can consultants use Fielded for client work?
Consulting and due-diligence scenarios are illustrated in the separate private demo. They show how a project brief or requirements list can guide conversations and supporting evidence collection for professional review. This is distinct from the working company-workspace beta; the demo does not promise that advisory workflows are available in your beta setup.
Explore the advisory demo09What does “living dialogue layer” mean?
It means company understanding can develop through ongoing conversations, rather than ending with a single survey or report. This heartbeat of dialogue helps Fielded revisit relevant context, clarify changes and connect new business questions with what people have already contributed, within the workspace’s sharing and access rules.
010What is a Digital Forward Deployed Engineer?
A Digital Forward Deployed Engineer, or DFDE, is Fielded’s software-based approach to gathering context and investigating a business problem from the inside. It combines AI employee conversations, targeted follow-ups and evidence analysis. People review the findings and own decisions and implementation.
